Reddy Damodar Reddy Death: అధికార కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీలో తీవ్ర విషాదం. మాజీ మంత్రి, సూర్యాపేట నియోజకవర్గ ఇంచార్జ్ రాంరెడ్డి దామోదర్ రెడ్డి (73) ఇవాళ రాత్రి 10.10 గంటలకు హైదరాబాద్ ఏఐజీ ఆసుపత్రిలో కన్నుమూశారు.
గత కొంతకాలంగా అనారోగ్యంతో బాధపడుతున్న ఆయనను కుటుంబ సభ్యులు చికిత్స నిమిత్తం ఆసుపత్రిలో చేర్పించారు. చికిత్స పొందుతూ తుది శ్వాస విడిచారు.
దామోదర్ రెడ్డి 1985లో తుంగతుర్తి నియోజకవర్గం నుంచి తొలిసారి ఎమ్మెల్యేగా గెలిచారు. 1989లో రెండోసారి విజయం. కాంగ్రెస్ నుంచి టికెట్ దక్కకపోవడంతో స్వతంత్ర అభ్యర్థిగా బరిలో నిలిచి హ్యాట్రిక్ విజయం సాధించారు.
